Stay, The Quince Way
Welcome to countryside bliss – The Cotswolds have been the setting of iconic locations such as Downton, in Downton Abbey, and now, it is the backdrop to your perfect holiday house staycation. Pretty little chocolate box towns, and rolling Oxfordshire hills surround our three converted barns, Roebuck’s Rose, The Lock Keepers Snipe and The Owl’s Barn. Whether you’re wandering along The Thames Path National Trail, which runs through the Chimney Meadows nature reserve or keeping an eye out for birds and wildlife that’ll turn up on your doorstep, there’s no need to venture far.
Settle in, where nature meets nurture
Sneak Peak – Within The Chimney Meadows Nature Reserve there are bird hides, specifically for catching a glimpse of the many wading birds that call the reserve home. See if you can spot all twelve of the resident birds such as the Pintail, the Sedge warbler and the more illusive Yellowhammer. The Chimney Meadows Nature Reserve is an ancient landscape developed over many hundreds of years and is an important area for wildlife. The birds and animals are so integral to the area that we had to name two of our barns, after the Snipe and the Barn Owl. Our perfectly converted barns are within The Chimney Meadows Nature Reserve along with 13 acres of ample agriculture.

Sandwiches Al Fresco
There is a dedicated picnic area for you to bring the children and settle into lunch. With plenty of benches, you can spread your brood out and enjoy the natural surroundings during your alfresco lunch. The Shifford Lock Cut streams past the picnic area so you can relax with the sounds of the Thames flowing beside you.
Pave your way
Throughout the Nature Reserve there are a collection of routes to explore and discover. From vibrant wildflower meadows in the Spring and Summer, to joyous sludge to sink your wellies into in the Autumn and Winter. There are plenty of choices within The Chimney Nature Reserve with pathways from Bridleways, Boardwalks and Public Footpaths. All you have to do is choose one and explore. Dogs are allowed within the park, with the request that they stay on the lead so as not to interfere with the inhabiting wildlife.
Secret Garden
Located within the Chimney Nature Reserve are our Chimney Barns. Each converted barn has its very own private and secluded courtyard to enjoy the outdoors, on your doorstep. The barns share a fire pit located within the grounds where you can gather together, or escape the kids. Whatever the season, the fire pit can either be a moment of solace for yourself, or the perfect location to catch up with old friends while roasting marshmallows and indulging in a bottle of red. Tucked away from sight of the barns, is our iconic outdoor bathtub where you will not be disturbed by anything other than the hoot of an owl or the nighttime bird song depending on the season.
