The Lock Keeper's Snipe showcases boutique barn living at its most comfy, lots of space, bundles of soft seating and eye catching artwork. Grand vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows flood the single storey barn with sunshine, while the south-facing courtyard garden is designed for pure relaxing and there’s even a bath house with heating, hot water and views of the stars. Sleep easy in six generously sized bedrooms overlooking the courtyard – four have shower/bathrooms, two of them with baths. All bedrooms have Quince signature super-comfy beds. A lovely big boot room and gated grounds make it dog friendly, while the spacious dining area and kitchen mingle together to create an easy entertaining space.

The patio has a coal BBQ so please add charcoal to your shopping list should you wish to use the BBQ during your stay 2 dishwashers, fridge/freezer, range oven with two cookers, microwave, washing machine, dryer please look at our inventory for more detail on other smaller items.

The lay of the land

The Lock Keepers Snipe is well placed for access to all the Cotswolds has to offer.Our nearest villages are Bampton or Aston, both have village shops and other facilities. Immediately surrounding us is Chimney Meadows Nature Reserve offering wonderful walks and access to bird hides with maps to follow, special mention for the newest thatched bird hide to the West of us on The Thames Path – great views and definitely worth checking out. We supply an illustrated map of the area showing you walks along the Thames Path (10 minutes away) to help you make plans and our blogs have many more suggestions on walks, wild swimming and local pubs in the surrounding area. Oxford, Burford and many beautiful Cotswolds villages, are all nearby, while the nearest station is 18 miles away.
