We can’t wait for the festive season in Deal 2024. Take a look at our guide for the many great events happening
in the run-up to Christmas.
There is always a buzz as we head towards the festive season, and lots of events
to enjoy for you and your family throughout Deal and Kent.
1. Dover Castle
invites you to a magical encounter with Father Christmas himself!
On weekends from 30th November to 22nd December, gather
around the Christmas tree as Father Christmas shares his favourite
festive stories.
2. Deal’s 28th Annual Christmas Parade
On 14th December is not to be missed as it winds its way through
the streets.
3. Sandwich
comes alive on 30th November with the Christmas
parade, lights switch-on, and festive music, plus an indoor
market for those last-minute holiday finds. Make sure to visit
again on 14th December to meet Father Christmas and his
reindeers for a magical day of festive fun
4. Walmer Castle
has Festive Fun and Christmas Quest weekends from
30th November to 22nd December. Bring the family and
enjoy festive storytelling, music, and an exciting Christmas
quest through the castle’s beautiful grounds. It’s the perfect
way to get into the holiday spirit!
5. Quex Adventure Farm Park
The Elf Express is celebrating its 10th year, bringing Christmas
magic to life for families. This festive train ride,along with the popular
ice skating, offers a perfect way to create lasting holiday memories.
6. Canterbury Cathedral
Is set to host a range of festive services and events this Christmas season.
Highlights include the return of the Festival of Carols with a living nativity
(donkey included!) open weekdays 25th November to 20th December.
7. Dreamland Margate
Join a team of Thanet’s finest artists and makers for festive fun on
7th December at the annual Christmas Fayre. Indoor event set against the
retro loveliness of the Roller Rink provides perfect opportunity to pick up
some Christmas gifts.
8. Margate Caves
Father Christmas will be flying back to the deep underground,
explore the subterranean wonderland complete with twinkling panto
favourites 30th November to 23rd December check website for exact dates.
9. Betteshanger Park
Wander through enchanting light displays, festive scenes, and twinkling
pathways a. Perfect for all ages, this festive journey is sure to brighten your
holiday season.
10 Leeds Castle
Have a new magical lighting display on a 2k walk around the beautiful grounds
with the lake, the castle and grounds all beautifully lit.
